Hello, RRH Boarders! Here is a update on horse care along with some care notes. Please read/look over and comment: "Read it! -(your name)" in the comment section so that I know you saw it. Thanks!
(This is a report of the care received by board horses and is not a contact.)
Barn horses: Willie
Herd horses are feed 2 1/4 bales* of hay AM and PM divided into 8 or more piles. Access to fresh, free choice water, trace mineral block and shelter. In AM, feed grain to all horses except Tequila, Jackson, and Willie. Grain is feed at the rate of 10 lbs, put in 4-5 feed bins, per day. Grain is a mix of senior feed and a maintenance or all stock feed (about 50/50).
[While I am gone to Uganda, herd will not be feed grain and they will be getting round bales for hay]
Barn horse (Willie) is out with the herd during the day. He gets 1/2 bale of hay in PM in stall with race mineral block and water. In PM, feed 1 scoop oats and one strip SmartPak, both supplied by owner. His stall is cleaned about 6 times a week with more bedding added 2x to 3x per week. His cribbing collar is on during the night and off during the day.
[While I am gone to Uganda, barn horse will be wearing his cribbing collar 24/7]
PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS AND NUMBERS. If you have any questions let me know!
